I am using  ACT SAGE 2013 PREMIUM (Web version).  We have hundred to clients. we need to scan their documents . we have kept folders of them in dropm box by naming   FIRSTNAME DDMMYYYY . we need to viist their documenst everyday, we scan documents and they are scn by Dropbox on the every computer . we scan documents when ever clints comes to office, we keep their passports, educational docuemnts, forms , copies of contacrts.

Is there any solution for this problem. we want direct entry from software to folder of client.   atatching documents is not solution. short link alos not good options. is there any add on for this. If not how we can request to sage as alomost everyone need that. i am happy to pay any cost that is reasonable as per the cost of software.

There is an addon that I'm beta testing that should do what you're after ... it's due for release next month

You could also have a look at the following add-on and see if it might fit your needs?

GLComputing  whats the name of addon..whats status regarding testing

looked at "http://www.software4advisors.com/Scan&Organize.asp" operating word here is "linking" which is not "HIPAA" compliant.

just curious "ACTSAGE2013" is from Australia you guys are not required to be HIPAA "Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996"  compliant or something similar.

I know the original post is back in April however...

There is a New Zealand company, Ferret that are specialists in document management. At Xact Software we have built an integration to Act! for the Ferret software. They do serious document management as opposed to just document storage.

The integration we did for Ferret  allows you to click a Ferret button in Act! and it opens the Ferret record for the customer exposing the documents for that customer. If the customer record does not exist already in Ferret it will create one.

You mention that you run ACT! Premium for Web, which is a problem, you would need to run desktop version of ACT! . I guess hosting Act! would be an option. In Brisbane, Australia, one Act! Consultant company you could talk to is Evolution Marketing and they can be contacted on 1300 799 064

Mike,

How do the folders get created, do you have to do it manually?

What happens when you move folders to a new location, say a different file server? ?

1. Automated, based on Company / Contact - but can be modified
2. Pretty easy ... especially as I've chosen to store them in a secure cloud via Egnyte

Re: ACT SAGE PREMIUM-DOCUMENTS MANAGEMENT ISSUE

I created a New web address field.... then I went to dropbox and created a shared folder link and copied it to the ACT field I made....

Click on the link and it takes you to the open shared web portal folder...

I also did this for Evernote....

I also did this as a search in my gmail....
