I have the following installed:
ACT! Pro V16 with HotFix 5
ACT is installed on Two computers, a HP Desktop running Win 8.1 with all updates holds the main db
An HP laptop running Win 8.1 with all updates holds the remote db.
I want to sync remotely over VPN. I am running an ASUS RT-N66U wireless router.
Running OpenVPN server on the ASUS router.
I have installed the client side of the OpenVPN on the laptop.
I can connect through the VPN and do the following:
Connect to the router and change configuration.
Connect to my Synology NAS, reconfigure, browse files, etc.
Conntect to my desktop with Remote Access and control it remotely.
What I can't do is sync the ACT! remote db through the VPN tunnel. When I connect the laptop to my home network and the sync works perfectly.
I don't understand what I am missing that prevents the sync.
I have checked my Norton FIrewall and all services appear to be allowed.
The ASUS firewall doesn't apprear to be a problem.
Using the default port for sync 65100.
Any suggestions are appreciated. I'm baffled.........
