ACT Premium web 2012 - uploading vcards from outlook and sychronizing Outlook to Act web

Hello,

I have two questions:

1. Can you upload a a Vcard directly to ACT web?

2. We tried to install Sage.act.Integration and keep getting a windows error that they system is not working. I have windows 2010.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Re: ACT Premium web 2012 - uploading vcards from outlook and sychronizing Outlook to Act web

Hello Rhonda,
Welcome to the Sage ACT! Community. In regards to your questions:

1. Unfortunately, you cannot as the web client does not have the email client to support importing Vcards. This would have to be done using the installed version of ACT!.

2. What is the exact error message you are getting when attempting to install the Sage.Act.Integration via the web client? Also, which browser are you using? Does it fail on all machines?

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.

Re: ACT Premium web 2012 - uploading vcards from outlook and sychronizing Outlook to Act web

Hello Greg,

Thanks for the information on the V-card. It is unfortunate that the web-based program doesn't allow that function.

On question 2:

The error message on installing Sage.Act.Integration for synchronization is:

Sage.Act.Integration is not working

Program details: APPCRASH

Appication version: 14.1.108.0

Module version: 6.1.7601.17651

The integration is failing on all machines. We are using Inter Explorer 9.

If we are unable to import Vcards from Outlook to ACT what are other ACT options for uploading a client data base besides exporting to an excel spreadsheet and then importing on contact information into ACT?

Thank you for your assistance.

Rhonda
