ACT! Premium for Web 2009 V11.1.196 Default layout issues

ACT! Premium for Web is trying to access the original ACT provided layouts that no longer exist.  We made custom layouts some time ago and they have been working until a few days ago.  Then we started getting this message: "The file Basic Company Layout - 1024x768.aly could not be located. Please select a different layout at the bottom of the screen. For more information, see "Selecting layouts" in the online Help.
If this error continues to occur, inform your adminstrator.
The full path of the layout file requested is: \\SERVER\ActContact-database files\Layouts\Basic Company Layout - 1024x768.aly

 

That file has not existed for some time.  Somehow ACT decided to point to the old layout.  The current layout is company layout.aly; I am able to select this layout in the lower right corner of the screen but nothing comes up except the above error message.

Can't give a reason for why it is suddenly asking for the Basic layout, but I would copy the basic layout from the Demo database and add it to the layouts folder for your main database. Access through the web to satisfy it asking for the basic layout, then change it to your custom layout. After setting the layout to the custom version, you can try removing the Basic layout from the folder.

This might also happen if the custom layout has been damaged... if you can use it after loading the Basic one, you may need to restore a backup of the Custom layout from before it stopped working
