I have two 2008R2 64 bit servers. One is a Terminal Server the other is a DB server running MSSQL 2008 R2
The MSSQL server hosts the act DB files and is access via it's IP on port 1433
The Terminal Server is used for employees to log into a terminal session and run the ACT client accessing the DB on the Database Server. Employees cannot log onto the DB server, they can only access the MSSQL databases through the ACT client.
When I run a report as an administrator logged onto the DB Server it take 11 seconds to run a selected report. When I run the same report logged onto the Terminal Server also as an administrator it takes 30 seconds to run the report. Is there anything I can do to speed up the report processing time from the terminal server?
