ACT Premium 2010 over 1400 files syncing each time

We have a remote user that now has over 1400 files syncing even though he makes few or no changes in the data base. Sometimes its 1400+ sometimes its 700+ files sometimes 4 files Syncing.  Is the sync updating the files that are attached to the contacts even though there has been no changes made? What is causing this? We have other remote users that do not have this many files syncing and all are using ACT in basically the same way.

Re: ACT Premium 2010 over 1400 files syncing each time

My guess would be you have some kind of scanning security software that is looking in your attachment folder for virus or malware.  You might want to tell whatever security suite you are using to ignore that folder and see if it stops the long syncs.

If that is the culprit, you'll then need to decide if this is an acceptable risk to leave unscanned.
