Turns out with updates to Update 7, it resolved most of the issues. There's a few PCs with 'damaged Windows profiles', so ACT support indicated i needed to contact Microsoft for support.
Servers: Upgraded APFW and main database to 21v7
APFW: Uninstalled the integration and downloaded a new file, interface works well now.
PCs: Upgraded to update 6, repaired office, worked on 'undamaged' profiles
Still having some timeout issues with Outlook calendar sync connecting to the server, but that's a story for another day (still troubleshooting).
