Using ACT! 2012 Premium Hot Fix 2 on Windows 2008 R2 Server 64 bit.
Just to warning and make clear a little change on new ACT! configuration that can cause waist of time when setting up Internet synchronization.
After install IIS and Internet Sync Service, configure IIS, xml and set all correct, I lost long time to get a notebook sync through Internet with the server.
Finally found the problem. The name of local web page created by Internet Sync on the IIS by default is "Act Internet Sync" with spaces on the name.
I have already installed and configured hundreds of customers before and never had problems with ACT! configuration. That´s why it took me so long to find the problem. I looked to the server´s display many times but I could not see the spaces on the name.
Curious when I change the connection configuration at the Notebook to "http:// IP address / Act Internet Sync" I received a message warning the spaces are not allowed....... I changed again to "http:// IP address / Act%20Internet%20Sync" and everything worked ok.
