ACT Global search

There has always been a global search feature that allows keyword search in the notes -- but -- it will only return the first 1000 records and nothing beyond that.

 

Has this been changed in the new version to return ALL records found based on the keyword?

For the option: Lookup > Advanced > Search on Keywords - the results will only display the first 1000 results. 

 

This has not changed in Sage ACT! 2012.

This same question was asked a few years ago and Sage has not provide any answer as to why it imposes this limitation.

 

Can you please give a reason why - with SQL - such restrictions are in place?

I do not believe this is an SQL limit but rather one implemented by Sage which as you say can be a problem. Have you tried one of the external tools like Topline Reports to create the lookups?
