I have a user who's ACT address book settings keep falling off and of course then Outlook wants to re-set it up. There is no consistency in why or when it happens. It is also the only ACT preference that falls off.

What version of ACT!? Is the database installed in a network environment or local to the user's machine? This would help to direct you down the correct path.

Do all other Preferences remain ok or do all Prefs get lost?
If only Outlook address book, it might be a network connection issue... if the database isn't available when Outlook opens, it disables it and doesn't connect next time.

That sounds logical but there are 3 other people in that office and it doesn't appear to be an issue for them. I'll read the KB you recommended and see if I can glean anything from that.

The problem may show up in the logs on the previous attempt.
Does the user sometimes option ACT!/Outlook when not on the LAN (ie a laptop user)?
Did you try the items in the kbowledge base link I posted?

Tried a Detect/Repair in Outlook?
How often does it happen? When?
