Wondering if anyone has an answer?
I've uninstalled and reinstalled Office twice.
Nothing works. Outlook is set up as the default email client, everything ticked, but when I go through the preferences set up in ACT, it closes off with the statement that Outlook needs to be set as default....
Not getting anywhere. Is anyone else having trouble?

Hello Melville. Thanks. Yes, it iis Office 64.
I did wonder about that and checked the version compatability. According ot ACT's own website, ACT 21 is compatible with Office in either the 32bit or 64bit versions.
As it says here:-

Known problem for me. The only workaround I use successfully is to remove the 64-bit-Office, remove ACT!, install Office 32-bit & reinstall ACT!.

Nope. ACT! will nag your with a nasty error message to do exactly as suggested (uninstall/reinstall ACT!) and will not allow you to do Email Integration settings.

Although Act! spec says compatible with Office 64bit I don't think it is.
Has anyone found this will work?

Agreed, but we learned the hard way that the only way to overcome these problems is not to even mention the alleged 64-bit compatibility and not to "allow" 64-bit installations in combination with ACT!. We simply do not support 64-bit installations as it is difficult enough to cope with all the issues around the 32-bit versions.

I took in good faith the ACT compatability information where they definitively state that ACT 19, 20 and 21 are all compatible with EITHER 32 bit or 64 bit Office products, from Office 2013 onwards.
Shockingly, this is clearly not the case. What are they thinking?
Not in the least bit impressive. Casual to the point of irresponsible.
Very grateful for the heads up from you. Many thanks for that.
