Good afternoon, I am having an issue with the ACT 2012 network implementation. The issue is as follows:
We have many custom defined customer contact fields, as we are a photography stupio. As such, we have had to move the contact columns around when viewing in the "list" format. However, whenever we close out of act and go back in, the columns have reverted back to the default arrangement.
Windows SBS 2011 Essentials (hosts the ACT database)
Windows XP Pro Workstations with .pad file copied to the local machine.
Could someone please advise how to resolve this issue.

I had a client with a similar problem and it turned out they had a problem with the Windows profile. I would remove the %appdata% ACT folder and resetup your preferences making sure when you are done exit ACT and wait 2 minutes before restarting. This will tehn tell you if the changes are actually being saved. If not log in with another profile onto the machine and see if it is the same.
If all have a problem then you may have a corrupted windows profile.
