Now that we are using multiple users logging into the database, one challege we are facing is with scheduling alarms. I am trying to schedule an activity with an alarm which will alert any user of the schedule. For instance if I schedule a meeting with patient x, I would like my assistant and my director, who logs in with a different IDs, to see that alert as well. Is there a way to do this? I know you can schedule activities for another person but I need everyone logging into the database to be alerted of the same activity. Please help.

When you schedule an Activity, you can add multiple Contacts in the Schedule With line - these can be other Contacts, or Users.
Then, in the upper-right corner of the Schedule Activity dialog box, there is an "Options" menu item. If you click on that, you should get an option labled "Create separate activity for each contact". Check that.
Now, when you save (click OK), the other User will have that same activity scheduled, with an alarm if you chose that option.

I create a user called "act.task.reminder" with email email@example.com which i then send to the mail server
and cc to staff that need to know.
I have act.task.birthdays etc.... the setup is a doable work around
and yes I never wait for act alerts at my pc,
ps keep in mind act uses outlook default account so i have a little gadget in outlook to use whatever account based on
sender id hence"act.task.reminder
