ACT 2011 SP1 HF6

Hello All,

Just to let you know, this hot fix updates/upgrades the datebase.  You should apply to main server, and all remote users before anyone trys to sync.

True of nearly all the updates and hotfixes.

I suspect this is why the "Check for updates" hasn't worked in quite a few versions ... they should probably remove it

I don't exactly remember, but I didn't think HF 4 or HF 5 was that way.

There has been one or two that could work without out all being applied ... but probably shouldn't ;-)

Joe is correct.  The last few hotfixes didn't require any updates to the database.  For some reason, with this one they don't tell you until after you've applied the hotfix locally.  So if you want to continue using the current database without having to update it (and possibly locking out other users), as far as I can tell the only way is to uninstall ACT and reinstall using a prior version.
