ACT 2011 Premium with shared sync database, resources greyed out

Hello, we have ACT 2011 Premium with some users on shared sync databases. The users with remote databases cannot see or click on the resources when scheduling an appointment or task. The resource options are greyed out and cannot be selected. In earlier versions, remote users did not have this option.

 

Is this still the case with ACT Premium 2011 or is there a work around?
