We recently upgraded from ACT 2009 to ACT 2011 and seem to have lost some functions. We used to be able to open a previously - created group in the database, select "Create Lookup" and display a list. We could then open an individual contact, take an action such as creating a note or sending an email to the contact. We could then get back to the list by selectiong LOOKUP > Previous.
When we try this in ACT 2011, sometimes the list is NOT there. To return to the list, we have to start at the beginning by finding the group again.
Anyone have this situation, and have a solution? Is there some group characteristic that determines if it is recognized as a previous lookup?
Replies to my email are appreciated.

Welcome to the Sage ACT! Community. I wasn't able to reproduce lists not being there, but regarding the Lookup > Previou, this would appear to only work with Contact lookups, not Group or Company lookups. If you are on a Contact record, you should be able to to choose Lookup > Previous and see your prior contact lookups. If you are in a Group or Company record, you should be able to go to Lookup > Contacts > Previous and see them. Also, keep in mind that the previous lookups list is only retained for your current session in ACT!. If you close and reopen the program, the list resets. All of these things are by design. If you would like to make a request for additional functionality regarding previous lookups, please post your suggestion on the Ideas board in this forum.
Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
