ACT! 2010 db performance

56,500 records

took 3.5 minutes to open on the server

 

650 lost and inactive opps, 355 won, 451 open

316 cleared activities, 950 uncleared, none recurring with no end date

no sync db's, but sync has been turned on.  one sync set with all contacts

 

14 active users, 61 (yes, 61) inactive users - each of course has a handheld sync set by default.

 

when looking up a contact, the screen needs to be refreshed because the history is from the last lookup.

 

problems with opportunity layout on win7 machines previously reported in another thread

1024 x 768 layout does not show the drop down for record manager, and/or does not hold the record manager changes

changing to 800 x 600 layout makes these problems go away.

 

I'm looking for ideas.  Thinking that something has to be done about the 61 inactive contacts...but will that really make a difference?
