Re: ACT! 2010 and MS Office 2010 - not solved!

[ Edited ]

We are having issues with Outlook 2010 and Word 2010.

Perhaps compatibility should be a high priority. I remember similar probs as each new version of Office has been introduced.

Disappointed that this wasn't foreseen. Is there a warning to prospective Office 2010 users that ACT!2010 is incompatible?

Cheers,

Why dont people read system requirements when they buy software?

ACT! by Sage 2010 released August/Sept 2009 (so development probably started in 2008)

Office 2010 release a couple of months ago.

Maybe sage is not a MS partner? anyway the beta for MS O 210 has been out forever...the patch should have been created a long time ago.....this is bad!

They wait until the final version of Office is released and then work on a fix.  With the Beta - they are always changing so they do not waste efforts fixing if it will be altered or changed in the next beta release.  It usually takes a couple months from the launch of the product for sale.

Re: ACT! 2010 and MS Office 2010

Is there an expected date for a fix to this compatibility issue?  Is there at least a way for ACT! to recognize the word installation to be able to my existing word templates?

Re: ACT! 2010 and MS Office 2010

Hello dacevedo,
Welcome to the ACT! Online Community. We do not yet have an expected date for ACT! 2010 compatibility with Office 2010. We are currently assessing the changes that would need to be made to the current product. Unfortunately, due to the changes made in Word 2010, there is not a way for ACT! 2010 to recognize and integrate with it. We will be posting updates in this forum and in our Knowledgebase as they become avalable.

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
