Hi can anyone help me with a problem that I'm having with Act 2010 Premier?
When I go on to the opportunity's page Act closes and shuts down the program so I restart the program and the same thing keeps happening over again, doses anyone know if this is a act problem or something to do with Windows XP or something else??

First question is: Did this ever work?
To troubleshoot this, you'll first want to open the Act! Demo database (File > Open Database > pad file should be listed) and test opening the Opportunities screen. If it is successful, the issue lies with the database. If it is unsuccessful, there is an installation issue.
If you are unable to open the Opportunities screen in the demo, try these steps:
- Disable your Firewall/Anti-virus software and attempt to access the Opportunities screen. If you are able to access it, visit this article for exceptions to add to your firewall: KB Article 25125
- Recreate your Act! Preference files. See this article for instructions: KB Article 21042
If you are able to open the Opportunities in the Demo, try this in your main database:
- go to Tools > Database Maintenance > Check and Repair
