Just installed ACT 2010 Premium and created the database on our networked drive (which is actually hosted by Amazon S3). I have full access to the drive in which the database resides as does my colleague. Everything works fine after the intial database creation, however, after closing ACT and trying to reopen the database I get this error message "The XXXX database could not be accessed. In order to access this database check your network...". I get the same error message when trying to access the database from my colleagues workstation.
Did I set up the database incorrectly? I can access locally saved databases no problem.
Thanks in advance.

You can only create an ACT! database on a local drive not a network drive.
DEFINITION: A Hard disk drive physically plugged into the computer which is going to host the database.
This is not a restriction in place from Sage, the database engine, Microsoft SQL server does not allow this.
If your worried about backups ACT! has a Scheduler which automates backups which you could move to your online storage.
