I was working on one of our employees comptuers and ran into this situation . . . I had some trouble with Windows updates and needed to uninstall and reinstall all the versions of .net frame work. Afterward, I tried to open ACT and it began loading and then minimized itself and never opened. The reminders screen popped up, but the only thing I could do was close them. I then unistalled ACT and reinstalled, but that did not fix the problem. I further noticed that I could log into the computer as the Administrator and ACT would open just fine. I checked and the computer user is also listed as an administrator on the computer. The computer is running Windows XP Pro, but the database resides on a Windows Server 2008 computer.
I really need to have our employee be able to log into Windows with her login information and be able to open ACT. Any help would be much appreciated.
