I have a single license of ACT 2009 with Windows XP, SP3. My Palm is the Centro on the Verizon network
When I first upgraded to 2009 I could not get the Palm to sync w/Act. Under the initial 30 day support ACT Tech Support was able to get ACT to Sync to the Palm very nicely. However, they did process remotely and I didn't retain what they did. What I did see was that they removed the palm software that came with the phone and put an older version of Palm sync and I don't know what version was loaded.
It was working great then the Palm software updated and now I cannot figure out how it was originally configured by ACT and I cannot get it to sync

It may not work with the updated Palm software. From:http://www.act.com/2009/system/
See the requirements:
- Palm OS 3.5-5.4
- 33 MHz device processor
- 8 MB system memory; 500 KB free plus 1 KB for each contact
- Palm HotSync® Manager 3.5-4.1.0 (4.1.0 recommended for Windows XP, included with Palm Desktop 4.1.4e) and 7.0.2 (included with Palm Desktop 6.2)5
If you have the right versions, see this ACT! Knowledge Base article -
Palm Os support will be getting less and less... even Palm have said they are discontinuing as I posted here:

i think the least expensive way (because time is money right?) to go is CompanionLink Express for $49.00 from www.Companionlink.com
if you buy this add-on they have free support to help you sync.
