ACT! 2008 Premium 10.0.3 Patch and Terminal Services

Couple of questions regarding the 10.0.3 update:

We have ACT running on PCs, Laptops and Terminal Services on the server.

 - Should TS be placed in 'install' mode prior to applying the update...I'm thinking yes.

 - Information on the Sage update page indicates that the sync service is only on the full 10.0.3 download. Where does one get that? Or does the sync service get updated too?

Re: ACT! 2008 Premium 10.0.3 Patch and Terminal Services

To answer your questions:

- Yes, you would put the terminal server in Install mode

- The sync service must also be updated to 10.0.3 along with the program, but this is not done by applying the update. You will need the full versions of the sync servces. You can download these services via the following Knowledgbase articles:

How to Obtain the Latest Version of the Network Sync Service for ACT! by Sage Premium 2008 (10.0)

How to Obtain the Latest Version of the Internet Sync Service for ACT! by Sage Premium 2008 (10.0)\

Be sure to uninstall your current version of the sync service before installing the updated one. Also, be sure to update ACT! before updating the sync services.

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
