ACT! 17 and the missing Outlook 2013 auto-attaching rules

In Office 2013 MS removed the "perform a custom action" option from the rules for incoming mail. The upshot is that ACT could not auto-attach incoming emails.

Now that v17 is released can anyone report on what ACT has done to work around the problem? Surely they must have designed a new integration dll that uses another mechanism. They have had at least two full years to work on it.

See this KB for what I'm talking about:

And here's a thread talking about it in relation to V1:

Thanks,

Sean

Re: ACT! 17 and the missing Outlook 2013 auto-attaching rules

I just did an install today...the client told me that the only reason he upgraded from v16 to v17 was so he could get auto attach rules with his 32-bit version of Outlook 2013. This needs to be addressed now!!!!

The only solution I know is from DesignR1.

123sync.com probably has a better product for this but it's crazy expensive IMO. I'm in a position where I have to either write my own or ditch ACT altogether. We can't avoid upgrading our email forever and I'm taking a lot of heat over this.

I recommend and use DesignR1 which is fine and inexpensive.

We've been using 123 Sync, it's been a fantastic choice. It works.

123 Sync I think is very expensive whereas Outlook IntegrateR1 is only $49.

Are any of you currently using Outlook IntegrateR1 with V17? Are there any issues?
