ACT! 10 Prem Inet E-mail Client. buttons disabled

New to ACT!.

Configured a user PC to use ACT! email client vs Outlook. We are transitioning from Goldmine, and all users use the GM email client. I would like to avoid using Outlook if possible.

The ACT! email client shows all buttons to be disabled except Send/Receive. Menu items on dropdowns are disabled as well. 

WXP Pro. Control Panel>Mail brings up the Outlook 2003 configuration dialog. 

If I additionally check Outlook in ACT! email preferences, the personal folder is added to the folder list, and the buttons are enabled.

It may be an issue with the email account settings.  Try testing with another email account.
