ACT!10/2008 on Windwos Server 2008: go or no go

Was anybody able to run ACT!10/2008 in a Windwos Server 2008 environement?

Since I know, it's not a supported configuration, I just would like to know if its worth the effort to do it.

Not sure if your region has any relevance but others have said it does work

it does work. i have act v 10.0.0.1 running fine on windows server 2008

juste for your info, I don't use ws 2008 as primary nor secondary domaine controller, which are still ws 2003.

You might run into some security problem if you use it as a primary domain controller.

ACT! 2008 can be used by a domain controller as the ACT! server, but it is worth avoiding.

It does create extra overhead and traffic for the server (especially where Exchange is installed), and in some case, like ACT for Web, it can cause insane security implications.

Always try to employ a "member server" as act ACT! Server, and add it to your domain.

Word tot he wise, you CANNOT add a second Small Business Server to an existing domain, even as a member server, because MS immediately time-bombs the second SBS in 7 days. Found this out the hard way.
