ACT!10.0.3 (German), synchronization of supplement files

After updating to 10.0.3 Premium (German) we decided to create new remote databases without synchronizing supplement files (as layouts, templates, reports).

Unpacking the remote databases: create surprise, they found not only standard layouts but also the userdefined layout created and used before.

Templates-folder was almost empty (only standard templates), so we added userdefined templates from the previous Database.

Then sync and surprise: templates existing in the main-database with identical name were updated and changed their name! Filename was changed and renamed to filename-08-10-13-11-45 (some like this), a kind of timestamp of the last sync.

What's going wrong? Any ideas?

Re: ACT!10.0.3 (German), synchronization of supplement files

ACT! is working as designed.  With the release of 10.0.3 and 11.0, new files added to the supplemental files folder will now have time stamps to the file names when syncing.  The reason this was changed in 10.0.3 and 11.0 was to working around the issue with duplicate attachment names.

In previous versions, ACT! would add a long GUID to the duplicate attachment:

OK for that.

But why happens this with a RDB with the option "sync supplements" not set?

Just wondering... did you create a new RDB with new sync set or did you use re-create from the Admin area?

Recreate would send the same set as before and is what you would normally do when cutting the RDB again for a user who had already been set up

We created a new RDB (changing the name) using an existing sync-set, removing the option for the sync of supplement files.
