A really strange glitch in 2012 Premium

Smiley Surprised Has anyone every seen anything like this?

I had an untimed To-Do item in the task list. I dragged it into the calendar to assign it to a free time and .... it vanished. No trace of it. No record for it in the contact itself.

Every so often I've thought that tasks vanish, but I've never really caught one doing this.

Anyone ever run into something like this?

Have not seen that yet....  (Hope I don't!)  Are you using the Access via Web product?

Hello magreenfield,
Can you please list the exact steps you took to reproduce this and the outcome? Also, can you verify you have the user filter in the calendar set to All Users? In addition, please go to Help > About ACT! and provide the full version, including Hot Fix number.

Thanks,

Greig Hollister

It is 14.1.108 hf 3.

Open Calendar window.

Selected untimed task item in task window.

Dragged it to calendar into appropriate time slot of calendar.

Release button.

Item vanished.

That's all I did.

Re: A really strange glitch in 2012 Premium

I'm unable to reproduce this issue (also in 14.1.108 hf3).
- Created 3 To-Do's, timeless, 1 scheduled with my contact record, 1 scheduled with other user, 1 scheduled with non-user contact.
- Daily calendar
- Drag timeless activity from right column to time slot
- Result: all 3 activities input into time slot and updated appropriately

Can you test this behavior again in your database and also in the demo? Is it a consistent behavior or intermittent?
Let me know if you are using a different calendar view than daily.

It is definitely not a persistent problem. I'll test it, but I too doubt that I can get it to repeat. Don't spend any time this. I just wanted to know if anyone had seen this before. i guess not.

Please let us know if it happens again, and provide as much detail as possible. We take issues involving potential data loss very seriously.

Thanks,
