Act! Essentials - user identification API endpoint

Hi,

What we see as a useful addition to your API is the presence of an API endpoint that returns information about the user/account linked to your authentication token (in this case the API key). This endpoint can be called the /me endpoint as this is in line with the common usage.

For some examples, you can for instance refer to the documentation of Followupboss (https://docs.followupboss.com/reference) or Zendesk (https://developer.zendesk.com/rest_api/docs/core/users, see the /api/v2/users/me.json endpoint).

Please let me know if you would have any further questions.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,
Wout

Thanks for that suggestion, we do have this on our wider API roadmap.  What information would you expect to see?

Re: Act! Essentials - user identification API endpoint

Hi Xavier,

Thanks for the quick reply.

From my point of view the following information is required:
- email

- first name

- last name

and these attributes would be optional for us, but might be good to have anyway:

- phone number

- industry
- country

- language

- currency

So in essence this comes down to the information you can see in the "My Profile" section of the user.

Would you have any idea on when this would be coming?
Any way I can personally be kept up to date of its release?

Kind regards,
Wout
