sa password

Hi all,

how do I get the sa password for the ACT7 SQL Server instance?

I have bought ACT Premium 2013.

Windows 7.

Alternate logins could be ACTACCESS?

I need to remove a database that was created on a disk that has been physically removed from my machine.

I cant recreate the database until I remove the entry from the table!  Can't find a suitable option in actdiag.

any help greatly appreciated.

Re: sa password

The sa password is exposed by a utility that is purchased from Sage.

The API is the only way short of that (that doesn't violate the EULA) to write directly to the database, you can login to management studio with you windows credential but will only have read access. I'm unclear on what data would prevent you from creating a new database.

Re: sa password

Hi Matthew.

Thanks for your answer.

I was told by the ACT Salesman that the sa password came with Premium 2013.

Act wont let me create my database because there is an entry in the 'databases' table with the same name.

I wont put any more details in here because it is not something that we want people to experiment with.

Thanks anyway.
