Few ways of tacking this depending on how you want to manage it or the sales person to manage it:
Flag some field (possibly ID / Status) upon import (or after) so that it assigns these contacts to that sales region / person.
Create a dynamic group that puts these contacts in that group.
Schedule activities for that sales person to do with these contacts.
