Where is the path to an attachment kept?

If I look in TBL_ATTACHMENT.FILENAME I can see the filename, however, TBL_ATTACHMENT.FILEPATH doesn't show me the path. Yet when I hover over attachments, a tooltip pops up showing me a path, i.e. C:\ACT\Databases\TESTDB-database files\Attachments\xyz.pdf

Where is this path kept in the db?

Re: Where is the path to an attachment kept?

Normally, yes. (to my knowledge anyway).

However, a client has upgraded, and changed from having the database on C: to having it on P:

Now, attachments prior to the move don't open up, and hovering over the attachments shows a C:\ path where as attachments added after the move show P:\ and do open up.

So I was wondering where this path is kept....

Kanga,

I hit this problem last week. Took me ages to work out but obvious afterwards! The solution is fully SQL and unsupported obviously. Email me and I'll talk you through it.

Re: Where is the path to an attachment kept?

Look for the Supplemental File Location in CTL_DBCONFIG (DATASTORE > ROOT)

So, back with this client today.

Indeed, the supplemental files value is set to C:\ACT\Databases\TESTDB-database files rather than P:\ACT\Databases\TESTDB-database files

I'm assuming I can safely just edit that value? (i.e. it should work).

Just an update, searching for something else, and uncovered my previous post. I did do the above, and it worked fine, solved the issue. Ben.
