Hello, I am a developer recently assigned to work on developing plugins for my company in ACT!. I was wondering what versions of VS .NET people use here, and which works best for the majority of developers here.

I would say VS2008 just because you can target several versions of the framework, allowing you to develop plugins for current ACT release and next versions of ACT that might come under a different framework version.
Also it's faster than VS2005 and includes new features.

Just to be aware if you build using vs2005/2008 plugins will not work for v7/8, you will need to use 2003, if you are only building for v9 and above then 2008 is definately the way forward.

I'm using Visual Studio 2008. Though for any dotNet development I would strongly recommend using Resharper
It's a intelligent productivity add-on for Visual Studio dotNet, and no I don't work JetBrains.
