Underscore in Document Link

We wrote a program to create documents links in a contact record. The Framework appears to be add an underscore to the file path.

For example C:\Program Files\document\   becomes:

C:\Program_Files\document\

And the link therefore does not work.Anybody ever see this behavior?

I tried and couldn't reproduce this, are you attaching the document or a shortcut to the file?

In my experience, shortcuts (for the OS, which may not apply here) are treated much like a "URL" in a web browser, which don't like spaces. What happens if you enclose your path in quotes (" ")?

The VB would look something like this (dummy data):
Dim strPath as String = chr(34) & "DocumentPathHere" & chr(34)
