Troubles with VS2012 -

Hello!

I want to migratet my project from VS 2005 to VS2012.

I created very simple project in VS2012 (C#, Class Library designated for .NET Framework 2.0.

I added references to ACT dll (e.g. Act.UI.dll ver. 13.1.111.0 for Sage ACT! Premium 2011  - Ver. 13.1.111.0, Hotfix 1)

and to System.Windows.Forms.dll

than I add code:

using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.Text;

using Act.UI;

namespace ClassLibrary1
{
    public class Class1
    {
        public Act.UI.ActApplication aaa;
    }
}

And I received error:

"The type or namespace name 'Act' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) "

When I made those steps in VS2008 all work fine. Why?

best regards

Bernard

I've ran into similar issues, try dropping your references and re-adding them, that's worked for me in the past.

Re: Troubles with VS2012 -

This may help.

We create a copy of all the act! DLLs and place them into a separate folder to reference from our solution. I copy the DLLs from the CD image. This way we can reference older builds and still run newer builds keeping compatibility back to ACT 2010 (12.0.409)

We use a mix of VS 2012 for new code and VS 2008 for patches/hot fixes.
