Trapping when you are in the contact list

Hi

Please can someone advise

I have a plugin which sets

public static ActApplication oApp;

then fires some code when when currentview is the contactdetail view

which works fine when stepping through contacts or looking up a specific contact

but I run from the list, it fires twice, once for the contact it's leaving and once for the new contact selected

how do I trap that I am on the list view?
