Re: Sage ACT! Premium for Web plugin presentation

Here are the 2 plugin files:

WebPluginTest is the "Simple" plugin that was developed during presentation.

SamplePlugin is the more detailed sample that includes adding tabs, buttons to tabs, and navigation bar item.

Note: The paths are relative to my system, so you will need to update project settings/paths per your environment.

This presentation is 2 years old. Do you have a working example for Act 2013. I follow this example and I get nothing but javascript errors and a blank page.

Re: Sage ACT! Premium for Web plugin presentation

This example should still work in 2013, but no new samples have been created. Below I'll include a link to where the video is uploaded to youtube, it sounds as though in your scenario that the plugin is being loaded, but there is some other issue with the javascript. F12 in most browsers will open the Developer Tools window and should give more detail about the Javascript errors.

Re: Sage ACT! Premium for Web plugin presentation

Hi.

Is there some sample or clue about to add a textbox with a custom field in the web contact detail part ?

been reading this

http://community.act.com/t5/Act-Developer-s-Forum/ACT-Plugin-development-FAQ/m-p/66332

and this

http://community.act.com/sage/attachments/sage/ADN_Downloads/4/1/Custom%20Sub-Entities%20SDK%20Guide...

and this

http://community.act.com/t5/Act-Developer-s-Forum/ACT-Plugin-development-FAQ/m-p/66332

this is basically what i want, but the sample is for the desktop version

http://community.act.com/t5/Act-Developer-Downloads/Code-for-Calculating-Age-From-Birthday/m-p/16813...

dont asking for the exact code but for a lead on the path.

in the desktop part i am able to inject a texbox control by using the layout views, and the control tree structure, but for web i dont see any useful property in the session object sent to the init event in the iwebplugin

Thanks in advance

Lester ... adding fields to the database is done on the server, so the code would be the same (other than default paths).

Re: Sage ACT! Premium for Web plugin presentation

Hi. Mike.

Yes, i can create fields in the server, but what i am trying to accomplish is something like the age field , that Act think that its a field, but that the plugin make the calculus on the fly.

in my case, i have a custom table  in master-detail relationship with contacts, then, in the contact defail view in act web ( AFPW ) , i need to show the field which logically is a sum(field-in-custom-table) , and refresh the field when the user navigate to another contact.
