New to the site and the program.
I have been giving that task to figur out if one - when creating a new customer in ACT - save it both in the database, created in ACT but also in out own database - where we add a random generator no. from a secondary program.
I hope you understand my question, else I will try to explain it to you in other words
thank you in advance

Yes, this is absolutely possible.
Once you have access to the ActApplication object (gained by creating a class library application that implements the IPlugin interface; there's more details on this included in the SDK documentation) you will then have access to events that will allow you execute code when new contacts have been created. The thread below has some sample code on doing just that:
The SDK documentation can be found here:

I now have and idea on what I should do to make it work on my side of the database.
But I still have some doubt in the matter og getting the info from the ACT database over to my own database.
Can you give a hint? please or even the solution
I was reading this post
the event: ContactCreated() or the property IsNew property - I do believe that this is the part I need to be able to do something to, so when the salesman creates a new customer, it takes the data and puts it into both the ACT database and my own database.
But where do I find this ??
EDIT2: btw I am using the newest trial version - dont know if that has something to say ? Doing it this way to see if I can figur it out
EDIT: How come I cant set a Action button in my view? would be AWESOME
