Readonly field via SDK (c#)

[ Edited ]

We have readonly fields.  When you import data, you can populate them.  When you use the framework to create a new contact you cannot because it is readonly.  Is there a workaround or am I dense?

This is c# by the way.

Re: Readonly field via SDK (c#)

Hi,

If you are doing it through code you can do one thing.

Sippose the Readonly fieldname is "State"

Firstly in ACT, go to Tools/Define fields/(Select your field)Field Security. Select user admin(whatever is your admin user), and give 'Full Access' to that user.

So that field is accessible to Admin now.

In your code Log on to ACT using credentials of the same user.

This will solve your problem.
