Problem when searching Cases

Hi,

 

I was asked to create an online form that would create new entries  ( cases ) in the CRM.

 

I am inserting all the required fields. When using the search I get no results if I use the Global Search. If I use the specific field ( i.e: first name ) I will get the entry I added.

 

Does anyone know how the global search works? What table it looks in? Is it using a view ?

 

Any help is appreciated.
