I have two questions that I hope someone knows how to do it:
1: How does one access a particular user's Contact Creation Preferences? i.e. the preferences set in the Tools->Preferences->Startup->Record Creation Options.
1a) I'd like to access the preferences (public, private and limited access) and the options within the limited access i.e. Contact lists or Members or both.
2: Now that I've got the Contact Creation Preferences for the user, how does one set the Limited Access preferences on a new contact that has been created by that user. . I'd assume that the public and private settings to be easy, but the limited access to be a lot more complicated. I see that the Limited Access preferences can be restricted to teams as well as individual users.
What I want to do is retrieve the default New Contact Creation Access preferences for a user and when a new contact is created in ACT!, the new contact has those preferences.
Does anyone have a piece of code on this? Any help would be very beneficial.
