Looking for some help

I am using Sage Act Pro Vers 18 and am trying to link three fields in such a way that on selecting field A & B it will automatically select field C based on some pre defined if statements.

For example

If [TBL_CONTACT.LL SERVER][FIELD_A] = "License 2" and [TBL_CONTACT.PRODUCT]="Product A" Then
[TBL_CONTACT.LL SERVER]="www.xyz.com"
Elseif
[TBL_CONTACT.LL SERVER][FIELD_A] = "License 3" and [TBL_CONTACT.PRODUCT]="Product B" Then
[TBL_CONTACT.LL SERVER]="www.abc.com"

Return "FALSE"
End If

I am using durkin computing Impact Suite 7 Math Formula and scripts but not being a developer I am struggling to get it to work.

Anyone care to tell me what needs to change to get this to work, please?

Cheers

Sorted, long winded nested If Else statements

Job done.

Re: Looking for some help

Try this...

If [TBL_CONTACT.ADDRESS_1] = "License 2" AND [TBL_CONTACT.ADDRESS_2] ="Product A" Then
    Return "www.xyz.com"

elseIf [TBL_CONTACT.ADDRESS_1] = "License 3" AND [TBL_CONTACT.ADDRESS_2] = "Product B"
	Return "www.abc.com"

Else
    Return "FALSE"
End If

You need to change the field names. I used Addr_1 and addr_2 fields.

If you are using Impact Suite 8.1.0.1 or better I added a feature to test your formula against the 'live' data.

Follow these steps:

1) Open the formula editor and paste the code above.

2) Click on the [COMPILE]  ( New window will display the actual compiled source code )

3) Click on the [TEST]  button to see your return value

4) A dialog will display your return value.
DEV NOTE - this messagebox is late bound so the return value object is really value.ToString() for dispaying purposes.

Hope this helps
