How to show the new Activity Dialog?

[ Edited ]

How would I go about showing the Act! dialog for creating a new scheduled activity?

I have certain criteria (e.g. Activity type: Call, Duration: 15mins etc.) and would like to fill the Dialog with this information so that the user can either go with these settings or edit them further.

If this cannot be done, I would like to know if I can show an "Edit Activity" dialog for an existing activity instead.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

UIActivityManager.ShowActivityPopUp should be what you're looking for. Create the activity with your criteria first, then pass it to the method and it should populate the fields as desired.

Thanks for the reply.

Here is what I’ve done:

        private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)

        {

            Contact contact = _actApp.ApplicationState.CurrentContact;

            Activity activity = _actApp.ActFramework.Activities.GetActivitiesForContact(contact,FirstInstanceRestriction.None)[0];

            _actApp.UIActivityManager.ShowActivityPopUp(this, activity);

        }

Unfortunately, all this does is show sort of a tooltip for the activity on the control that calls this method. Unless I am doing something wrong here.

Let me know.

Thanks
