How to request for SDK access?

Hi there,

I'm trying to request for SDK access but don't know how to do that.

I've sent email to act.developers as noted here http://www.act.com/partners/development-partner-program/ but got no response so far. Also tried to private send message to developer via forum 5 days ago but same result, no response until now.

Could anyone help me?

Many thanks in advance,

Phu

All the DLL files you need to reference to develop add-on are on the CD image.

These DLL files are actually delivered into the System GAC. But for all my projects I do not reference it from there.  I always make a copy of all the ACT DLLS and place them into a folder then reference them from there.

C:\DurkinComputing\ACT Assemblies\8.0.182.0

C:\DurkinComputing\ACT Assemblies\9.0.175.0

C:\DurkinComputing\ACT Assemblies\10.0.237.0

You will find these dll on the CD image located in this folder:

CDImage:\ACTWG\GlobalAssemblyCache\

Here is an add-on I posted to add a tab to the details page

Attached is a simple VB plugin to create a new Tab inside the Contact Details view. Download, unzip and open it with Visual Studio 2008 or better. Before running this example you need to re-attach the ACT dll reference.

This example also show you how to add a menu item.

Here's another add-on / plugin for ACT! to auto refresh act on a timed interval

This add on for ACT! will auto refresh the current view every x minutes or refresh every x minutes when idle. To install the auto refresher download the installer, close ACT!, run the installer and restart ACT!.

To help other SDK developers we are including the full source code for this add-on in a Visual Studio VB.NET project. You can find the zipped project file named "Durkin.Custom.Autorefresh.zip" in the ACT plugin folder after installation.

Thank you for your time.

Re: How to request for SDK access?

Hi Jimdurkin,

Thank you for detailed response. I'm currently using trial web-based Act! (got from here: https://buy.act.com/en-US/trial/product/ActPremium/plan/Month) so I don't have CD with me. Can I download SDK from internet?

Also does Act! support web services (like REST API, SOAP, etc.) for querying data?

Best regards,

Phu
