How to Compile Net Framework 1.1 using VS 2005

by Anthony on 01-24-2008 3:03 AM

I have an ACT add-on which needs to be compiled using Net Framework 1.1, however, I only have VS 2005.  I've searched for VS 2003, but it is not available anywhere in order to purchase.  My question, is there away to compile my code using VS 2005, to utilized the Net Framework 1.1.  The code has been compile in Net 2.0, which is ACT v9 and v10.  But, the majority of my user are ACT v8.  Can someone give me instructions on how to make this happen?

Thanks Mark...I actually already knew about this one.  I was hoping there was something else out there.  Well, I guess MSBee is it.

The other way you could do it is install the .net 1.1 SDK and use the command line compiler to build your assemblies.  Not as user friendly but would at least allow you to compile for .net 1.1.
