Hide Columns in Custom Sub Entity Table

Hi,

we setup some custom sub entity tables under Companies, which are directly filled via SQL.

Because of this we want to hide some fields like 'Creator, Changeby' aso.

I found the place where the Table is filled inCustomSubentity TabControl

But in the related CustomEntityFieldDescriptor i did not found somthing like ISVISIBLE

In the Table TBL_SysColumn the Information is stored.

I'm sure that a way exist, because the e.g. history Table is an custom sub entity Table and there is the functionality implemented.

The question is do i have to go the hard way and parse this Table via ACTOLEDB or exist an easy way to do it.

Dirk,

You can get all the fields in your custom table using the entity manager.

For Each cfield As Act.Framework.CustomEntities.CustomEntityFieldDescriptor In MyCustomSubEntityManager .GetFieldDescriptors()

... Code here

Next

Hope this helps

Yes, you can post it because I wrote Impact Suite :-))

We have an SDK available for Impact Suite so you can expand on our exisiting product if you need.

Our SDK supports both VB and C# and like ACT's SDK is free.

If you have any question contact me directly.
