Error when trying to open a document from the history in Act Pro 2013

The error message that we get says " object reference not set to an instance of an object" and then it closes act. Act also does not show that we have office 2013 installed and running. The only document option that we can select in act document. Please someone out there, help !!!

How are you trying to open the document? are you using an addin or something or do you just try to doubleclick the "attachment"-icon in the history tab?

What do you mean by: "The only document option that we can select in act document"

As I recall, Office 2013 support was only added in Act! 16, but you could try the latest Service Pack for Act2013: http://www.act.com/support/downloads/sage-act-pro-2013/

You should also check if you have the x86 version of Office installed, not the x64 version.

The error occurs when I double left click on any document in the history tab in act directly.
