Dashboards

How can I select the dashboard to display by default when opening the database?

I have tried editing the xml file - actually I have two...act.devnet.datachart.xml and act.dashboard.datachart.xml.

I also tried editing a template in those files, but no luck.

I'm trying to remove from the remote database synch status by user the following columns: last complete, last status (what does this mean, anyway?!), RECV Complete, RECV Result (same question as status), and last edited by (what is this information?).

Thanks for any help.

Re: Dashboards

Rita, it's under preferences and the startup screen.  Does that help?  Brenda

Re: Dashboards

Thanks, Brenda...actually not what I'm looking for.

There is a list of dashboards, and I want to select one to display as the default when I switch to the dashboards view.

Re: Dashboards

Rita, I guess I assumed that it would hold the last opened dashboard, especially if you select that as the opening screen.  So that's not the case with you?  Mine will stay with whatever dashboard I opened last.   Brenda

Re: Dashboards

Nope, I've tried with different databases and on different machines.

Isn't there a way to control this using an xml file?

Re: Dashboards

There is a default dashboard node in USPreferences206.xml which can be found in %appdata%/Act/Act Data/Preferences. It stores your last used dashboard.
