ActApplication Error

'act_add_table.act_add_quotes' does not contain a definition for 'actApplication' and no extension method 'actApplication' accepting a first argument of type 'act_add_table.act_add_quotes' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

Any ideas? Again, this code sample was taken from here

Re: ActApplication Error

Hiya,

Carlton had only posted up a code snippett. I presume the error is that you may not have instantiated the actApplication which would be a local class member.

Hi,

Like Vivek said it sounds like you haven't instantiated your Act.UI.ActApplication object yet.

You generally set this at OnLoad() of your plugin.

Check out inside of your SDK download - ACT2008 SDK\Customization Cookbook\CustomMenuPlugin.zip for an example.

Hope this helps,

Re: ActApplication Error

Thank you again for your help, but that .zip doesn't apparently exist in the 2009 SDK, although "Adding a new menu and handler.htm" in the customization cookbook folder still refers to it. where might i find the required code in the 2009 SDK?

Thanks
