APFW throws a lot of errors

Should I send the dev team issues I am finding with APFW. Or is it still radio silence?

Re: APFW throws a lot of errors

Hi Jim,

At the moment there's not a direct escalation route for issues of this nature.

I strongly recommend sending any issues you discover to act.developers AT swiftpage.com and I'll make sure they're handled correctly.

Kindest regards,

Sam.

Re: APFW throws a lot of errors

For Swiftpage reference.  IE 11 now longer supports createsPopup.

Here is two examples of cross-browser createPopup replacement examples.

Hope this helps somebody in the dev team make an informed decision.

I don;t mean to pick on you personally  but here I go...

"At the moment there's not a direct escalation route for issues of this nature."

No escalation route! what the heck!

Does that mean if you or oother support staff who have been reading my posts can not figure it our or understand it  - you just do nothing?

If there is no escalations then why bother. Really why bother with this community at all.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the information, I'll get this forwarded on to the web team.

In an effort to provide as much information as possible, are there any scenarios where this is currently causing an issue?I knew that Chrome had removed modaldialogs which was causing issues, but I wasn't aware of any in IE.

Kind regards,

Sam.

Edit:

My apologies, I haven't been very clear.

By "no direct escalation route" I meant that you can't escalate anything to that team directly, you have to go through a representative like me. Preferably on the email I gave, but I do try to catch anything I see on the forum.

"you have to go through a representative like me."

So, lets take that statement at face value.  I have multiple posts  added in the last few weeks. They are almost all unanswered. How is posting and going through a representative different? Does not the representative read posts?

You can apologize all you want but if nothing changes then its an empty gesture.

I don't disagree with you. I feel the best way to move forward is with action.

I've contacted the web team with your questions, I'm just waiting for a response.

I would reiterate however that if you have any urgent queries that the best way to contact us is via the email address I gave.
